MEET MICHAEL OJO

I’m Michael Ojo, a licensed insurance professional and retirement income educator, practicing through MikeMar Financial Group.

I help professionals and business owners approaching retirement understand how retirement income, tax awareness, and risk interact—so they can make informed, confident decisions and coordinate effectively with their existing professionals.

My approach is education-first, planning-focused, and designed to coordinate with your CPA and other professionals.

WHY I DO THIS WORK

Many people work hard for decades to build savings, but retirement brings a new set of decisions—how income is generated, how taxes apply, and how long income needs to last.

I built my practice around helping people understand these issues in plain language, so they can make informed choices and coordinate effectively with their existing professionals.

My goal is clarity, confidence, and a plan that supports long-term stability—not pressure or quick decisions.

AN EDUCATION-FIRST APPROACH

I focus on education and planning—helping clients understand retirement income concepts and identify potential risks before decisions are made.

I do not replace your CPA or attorney. Tax and legal decisions should always be reviewed with the appropriate licensed professionals.

When implementation is appropriate, it is guided by suitability, transparency, and long-term planning.

WHO I WORK WITH

I typically work with individuals and families who are approaching retirement and want to better understand how income planning, tax awareness, and risk management work together.

• Professionals preparing for retirement within the next 5–10 years
• Business owners planning income beyond the business
• Individuals concerned about taxes in retirement
• Families seeking clarity on sustainable retirement income

WHAT I HELP YOU UNDERSTAND

• How retirement income differs from saving and investing
• How taxes may affect retirement income decisions
• Risks retirees face when withdrawals begin
• How to structure income planning for sustainability and flexibility
• How to coordinate decisions with your CPA and other professionals

LICENSING & PROFESSIONAL FOCUS

I am a resident-licensed insurance professional in Illinois and hold non-resident licenses in additional states. My work is centered on education and planning for retirement income decisions.
